The Activators Interactive CD Review & GIVEAWAY!

A child comes home from school visibly upset. As always, it’s torturous to see a child in pain, but this is different.  This time the child doesn’t want to open up to his mom and tell her what’s wrong.  His shoulders are pitched forward, his head hangs down and his cheeks are red.  It’s then that his mom realizes – he’s been humiliated. After hours of comforting and pleading with him to confide in her, he finally opens up.  He’s been bullied and teased for being ‘fat.’  When he says the word out loud, the tears pour out of him. 

As First Lady Michelle Obama mentioned in her announcement about fighting childhood obesity, one in three children in America is obese or overweight, adding "None of us wants this future for our kids."

Former President Bill Clinton made a point to bring the problem of childhood obesity to light when he was released from the hospital, where he was having a blocked artery unclogged. Clinton stated that "the root causes" of his heart trouble comes from the eating habits he picked up as a child.

People are finally taking notice - - Something has to be done to save our children from a lifetime of struggling with weight and health issues.


Who Are The Activators?

My Gym Children’s Fitness Center, the #1-ranking fitness center destination for children with 200 locations worldwide, has launched The Activators, a motivational group designed to give kids the confidence that videogames just can’t impart. Comprised of four talented My Gym teachers who sing and dance to original music, while engaging in comedy and exercise, the Activators teach kids to embrace their health and well-being.

The Activators interactive website, www.TheActivators.net is where kids can log on and have fun with The Activator’s as they demonstrate their Exer-Sillies – and they are silly, but goofiness is fun! Kids can also sign up to make a pledge to be an Activator themselves and stay fit. The Activators are looking to get 1 million kids to take the pledge!

I was happy to review The Activators CD. I received one CD to sample. My daughter loved the interactive CD! There are songs, comedy sketches, games, exercises,  and dances all throughout the entire CD. This CD really gets the kids moving and into the fun of the CD, they have a good time and its great to find something fun and healthy for your kids to do. 

We also played the CD when my daughters friends visited this week and I really enjoyed seeing all the kids get into action!

The Activators are a comedic group of teachers, athletes, singers, and dancers whose main mission is to combat childhood obesity by making fitness fun and engaging kids (Age 2-8) in physical activity. The Activators were launched by My Gym, a fitness center for kids with over 200 locations worldwide.
