Each year, millions of poor people in developing countries die needlessly of preventable and treatable infectious diseases — simply because they lack access to essential medications. Many of these diseases, such as malaria and diarrheal diseases, are especially detrimental to pregnant women and children.
As the first nonprofit pharmaceutical company in the U.S., OneWorld Health is working tirelessly to develop safe, effective and affordable lifesaving new medicines for the poorest people on the planet. Inspired by OneWorld Health’s work, PANDORA Jewelry asked OneWorld Health to help design a charm to raise awareness and funds for its mission. The sterling silver charm incorporates 14K gold in an intricate, criss-cross pattern and a sparkling water drop shape dangles underneath the charm as a symbol of the lifesaving hope OneWorld Health provides with every drop of medicine it develops for those who need it the most, but can least afford it.
The OneWorld Health Charm retails for $80 and for each charm sold PANDORA is donating $20 to OneWorld Health. This collaboration has already raised nearly half a million dollars in support of OneWorld Health’s work.
The charm is available for purchase in PANDORA stores, at fine jewelry and gift shops across North America and through online retailers.
