Travel Snack Review

Remember when hot meals were given out on flights and drinks were actually complementary? Long gone are the days of free meals and even packets of peanuts that held us over until we reached our travel destination.

Today, airlines offer pre-packaged and processed sandwiches, junk food and candy. Rather than sacrificing your money AND health on your next flight, we suggest packing some tasty, better-for-you snacks so you and your family can easily satisfy your hunger without feeling weighted down on your trip.

·         Fruit Snacks – Stretch Island’s FruitaBü Fruit Rolls are perfect for travel as they come individually wrapped for easy portability. Not only do they taste delicious, but kids love them and they offer one-whole serving of fruit!
·         Crackers Kashi Heart to Heart Whole Grain Crackers, which are made with plant sterols and six natural antioxidants, are a great snack option that satisfies your crunchy cravings while offering you heart healthy benefits.
·         Grain-ola Bars – Bear Naked offers 100% pure and natural Grain-ola bars that are easy to pack in your carry-on and offer a fulfilling, but not heavy, snacking experience in Fruit & Nut, Chocolaty Cherry or Tropical Fruit.

So next time you travel – especially during the upcoming holidays – avoid the overpriced junk food and arm yourself with more healthful, all-natural snack offerings.

I was very excited to review an assortment of Travel Snacks including FruitaBu Fruit Rolls and Stretch Island Fruit Co. Fruit Leathers, popchips, Bear Naked Grain-ola Bars, Kashi Honey Sunshine cereal, and Kashi TLC Crackers!

I received the package before Christmas and there was so many different types of snacks to sample that I included some in gifts that I have to my daughters teachers and my co-workers. Everyone loved the snacks!

My daughter and I both love the Kashi TLC Crackers, they are simple yet very tasty. I fell in love with the Kashi Honey Sunshine cereal, its now one of my favorites! It reminds me of that honey comb cereal. The FruitaBu and Stretch Island Fruit Co. snacks were delicious as always, we have tried these before. They are tasty and a healthier product than the regular fruit roll ups. And the popchips were delicious! Kind of a novelty snack. They are made from air popped potatoes.

Tastier than baked and healthier than fried. I sampled the Sour Cream and Onion flavor, they were really good.

Thanks so much to Kashi, FruitaBu, Stretch Island Fruit Co., popchips, and Bear Naked for the samples!

The Bottom Line: Pick up some of the above snacks for your upcoming travel plans! Spring Break will be here before you know it, and you'll need some delicious organic snacks for the road!
